Kaye Forster is a freelance weather presenter based at BBC East Midlands weather hub. Her usual role is providing weekday breakfast and lunchtime and weekend forecasts for the East Midlands, West Midlands and North West regions following budget cuts as part of the BBC’s Delivering Quality First in England program.

Kaye Forster took a BSc in Geography at Brunel University where her final year dissertation was on the effect of global warming on Atlantic hurricanes. In 2001 she started Met. Office training at ‘several RAF airfields’. She became a regular weather presenter at BBC South East Today before leaving to become freelance; she then spent a spell covering for a leave of absence for Dianne Oxberry at BBC North West Tonight.

Kaye Forster joined a ladies’ football team at university and has since played for Wycombe Wanderers, Exeter City and Ebbsfleet United.

Elizabeth Rizzini is a British journalist working as a weather forecaster for BBC London. She works alongside BBC weather female presenters Wendy Hurrell and Kate Kinsella. Elizabeth Rizzini has previously worked with the Met Office as a weather news presenter.

Katherine Downes is an English television presenter who formerly worked on the BBC News Channel and BBC Breakfast, specialising in sports coverage.

In 2009, Katherine Downes was working at BBC South East for which she won Best Newcomer at the Royal Television Society Southern Centre Awards in 2010.

Katherine Downes joined the BBC Sport team in 2012 when it moved to Salford. She had previously worked as a reporter and occasional presenter on BBC South East Today, as well as reporting on a variety of news stories as a correspondent for BBC Breakfast and the BBC News Channel during 2011.

Nina Warhurst begin her on-screen career in an acting role in the Christmas special of Casualty in 1997, Heartbeat in 1998, and Butterfly Collectors in 1999. In 2010, Nina Warhurst joined BBC East Midlands regional news presenting East Midlands Today. Later in 2010, she joined BBC North West regional news presenting BBC North West Tonight and Sunday Politics North West. In June 2014, she covered the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil for BBC Sport. In September 2016, Nina Warhurst was appointed political editor at BBC North West.

In 2018, Warhurst begin reporting for BBC Breakfast on a freelance basis, and became a relief presenter when regular hosts were unavailable. In October 2020, she was appointed as BBC Breakfast’s main business presenter, succeeding Steph McGovern.

Alexandra Marie Dolan is a journalist, weather presenter and science teacher who went undercover for the documentary Undercover Teacher, produced by Allen Jewhurst. For this, she was suspended from teaching for one year by the General Teaching Council with the claim that ‘breached student trust’. The decision has received criticism from both teachers and commentators.

Alex Dolan was born in Cuckfield, in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex. She has an older brother. After growing up in Cambridge she attended The Leys School, an independent school in Cambridge and Cambridge Centre for Sixth-form Studies, and studied Marine Biology at Newcastle University. In 2019, Dolan moved from Norwich to Cromer.

More recently, Alex Dolan has been employed as a presenter on Sky’s Ocean TV programme Ocean Rescue. She returned to presenting the weather on BBC Look East on 5 January 2016 following maternity leave.
